The first 'bug' 0001 was buried in July, 2023 in Moliagul, home of the largest gold nugget ever found, the "Welcome Stranger".

 

The first 'bug' ever found was 0048 in Percydale on 10 January 2024 by GreyNomadProspector. This 'bug' was found less than a month after first burial.

 

There are a total of 120 'bugs' which have been buried, plus 10 special edition 'bugs'. The latest 'bug' was buried in Jul 2024.

 

Of the 130 bugs buried, 129 have not been found yet.

 

As of February 2023 there were almost 73,000 active miner's rights in Victoria.
